Great for a weekend night away with your special someone.Excellent location right in the middle of the town and only a two minute walk from a great selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and most importantly the well known Tavistock Pannier Market (Check the Pannier Market opening hours).The hotel staff are very approachable, friendly and engage in conversation and the rooms are clean and inviting.Our room had an Ensuite Spa Bath / Jacuzzi which was great fun despite the heating not working which just meant we had to top the bath up with hot water after a little while enjoying a bottle of champagne.The bed was extremely comfortable, warm and cozy but for a Four Poster Bed wasn't as impressive as I would have liked. Our room had a sort of household type four poster with no material canopy, the sort of bed you would expect to see for sale at a flat pack store (the room next door had a proper carved dark wood decorative four poster bed although also without a material canopy).If it wasn't for these two shortfalls (the failed heating in the Spa Bath and the mediocre four poster frame) I would have given The Bedford Hotel a five star rating, everything else about the hotel and services was spot on and I would highly recommend a stay - with some champagne in the Spa Bath!

Just spent a really lovely evening at the Bedford Christmas party. A superb meal followed by a disco and pop up casino. Well done to all the staff who made it such an enjoyable experience. I would certainly recommend it to anyone.
Very nice afternoon tea.Good value for money.Comfortable surroundings.Mostly spotless but surface of table sticky despite being clean.Staff very pleasant but could have been a bit more attentive.Overall a good experience
