I've never been the most confident person in the gym before, but going to peak has really helped me. Myself and my partner are always made welcome especially by the owner whose always up for a laugh and his partner even played my favourite song on the speakers.... Couldn't be more happier in a gym :)
Trained at many different places throughout the South West and have never been more welcomed in any gym before. The friendliest of trainers, staff and owners, great variety of equipment with people of all ages. Can't rate high enough
My girlfriend and I were very keen on joining this gym as it is just down the road from where we live. After going in and asking for their pay as you go 5 session I would never go to this gym again. The gym was very quiet and staff were available to speak with us, I work in the fitness industry myself and I am a qualified gym instructor I completely understand that an induction is necessary however when the owner very rudely says we cant use the gym and he couldnt carry out an induction with no reason why followed by rudely telling us to go and use another gym, I am absolutely appalled by this behavior and the way this man spoke to myself and my girlfriend. Before I get a response asking if I have the right gym I do mean the Peak fitness in Tavistock.... shocking
This evening myself and my partner planned on trialling peaks facilities and potentially discussing membership, both of us work within the fitness industry and were really keen to see whether peak would be worth it. We looked at their website and saw they offer a pay as you go session which would be perfect for us, when we arrived we were approached by a gentleman i believe is the owner, we were told that we couldnt use the facilities without an induction which of course we both understand and would be happy to do, however the very rude gentleman just told us we couldnt have an induction and told us to go away and use body zone. I am absolutely disgusted by this behaviour and i think this man should really think about how he speaks to people because that behaviour is not an acceptable way to speak to members of the public. I would warn anyone away from this gym if they dont want to be spoken to like a piece of dirt by this man!
The staff are brilliant in the gym ! New Year new me I haven't been for a few months but I'll definitely be because of the feeling I got from everyone, don't just take my word for it ! Give it a go yourself the staff are very helpful if you need some advice
