Appalling facilities and stuck up staff. People talk the talk but are actually only out for themselves. This school does not prepare children for the rigours of the really world. Completely fake
Cold and unwelcoming teacher.Our son Henry was coached by a Mount Kelly teacher called Tom Honey at Tavistock Hockey Club, who have ties with the school through players, coaches and venue.Tom showed no ability to differentiate tasks according to children's ability. Repeatedly dismissed an 8 year old's requests to be moved into a different group (despite having known about this by email in advance). Snorted that we 'lived in the middle of nowhere' when we told him we drove for 45 minutes to get to the club from our farm. Blase about fixtures for the kids; match next week "might not happen because I haven't got a parent manager..."Came home with an angry and confused 8 year old.Very disappointing arrogance, which does not reflect well on the school when you are coaching wearing the school badge.
An excellent school in wonderful surroundings. The range of activities available yo students is what makes this school so special. Now with a 50 metre swimming pool and incredible sports facilities. The school merged with Mount House Prep school to become Mount Kelly formerly known as Kelly College. I don't think there are more beautiful school settings than the two sites both also located on the the edge of Dartmoor. Apparently the school was a close second for the Harry Potter film setting. Very good value for what is an outstanding school.
