After having chicken and chips for over 20 years from various chippies. Never have I had such a poor, small and pathetic peice of chicken with my order. Usually u get half a chicken this was more like half a small chicken breast and also very overpriced will use tjs from now on!

Food is nice but staff don't listen properly to orderThanks for your response to my review, however I didn't state when it was that I had been and you seem to have presumed. The member of staff who had not listened properly was the young male on the front desk who wears his cap backwards, he got my initial order wrong, whether I wanted salt and vinegar wrong and when I got home I had been given the wrong burger.
Terrible slow service caused by no organisation behind the scenes I felt for the waitress who had to manage the entire restaurant single handed and was continually having to apologize to customers for unacceptable delays. When our meals eventually arrived, chips were great but fish was of questionable quality, my 'cod' (not sure it even was as a large percentage of brown chewy flesh) was not good, peas were a fine assortment of shades of green obviously cheap were not nice either, our bread and butter never arrived, an adjacent table was disappointed twice as they were out of stock of at least 2 different types of fish! yes it was Friday but not that busy.A few years ago I ran a chippy in London with less staff, more customers and food was served much quicker so I do have knowledge of the trade. This visit, not our first we found very disappointing and service and quality not a patch on former visits, if things don't radically improve this shop will not survive the quieter winter period when tourists who do not know differently are not around - such s shame as it was an award winning venue not so long ago. I will have to think long and hard before returning.
We sat in the restaurant side and a somebody came and took our order. Didn't have to wait too long. It was the best fish n chips we have had for a long time. Would difiently go back. The service was very good.
